General Fare Regulations
2025/26
1. The general fare regulations and conditions of carriage of Ski amadé GmbH and the respective member companies (hereinafter referred to as "member companies") of the Ski amadé ski association (hereinafter referred to as "Ski amadé") apply, as well as the General Terms and Conditions of the online ticket shop operated by Ski amadé GmbH when purchasing tickets online. For individual products, particularly ski passes with long validity periods, specific additional conditions apply. The respective provisions are available on the relevant websites and posted on-site. By purchasing a ski pass, the passenger acknowledges the stated provisions and agrees to comply with them. The current member companies can be found at www.skiamade.com/agb
2. Ski passes valid for 2 days or more, with the exception of special ski passes, are valid in all Ski amadé ski areas. Ski passes valid for up to one day are valid in the Schladming Dachstein region during the respective lift operation times. The currently available offer is updated daily and can be found at the respective ticket counters, on the electronic panorama boards, through the ski area's information channels, at the respective lifts, and online. Multi-day passes are only valid on consecutive days.
3. The member companies operate their respective cable car and lift facilities as well as ski slopes independently and under their own legal responsibility. The purchase of a ski pass valid for 2 days or more entitles the passenger to use the ski areas included in Ski amadé; however, the specific transportation contract is concluded with the member company whose facilities and slopes are being used at that time.
Any liability towards passengers—whether based on contractual or statutory provisions—for incidents arising from or during the operation and use of the cable car and lift systems as well as the ski slopes lies solely with the cable car or lift company in whose ski area the incident occurs. The other member companies are not liable.
4. When purchasing a personalized ski pass, the pass holder’s personal data is processed for control purposes, to prevent misuse of the pass, and for customer service purposes. This data is deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled, but no later than three years after the pass’s expiration date. For the above-mentioned purposes, the personal data is forwarded to Ski amadé GmbH and the member companies.
Information pursuant to GDPR, Articles 13 and 14 regarding "Photocompare":
It is noted that, for access control purposes, a reference photo of the customer is taken the first time they pass through a turnstile equipped with a camera. This reference photo is compared by the lift staff with the photos taken each time the customer passes through such a turnstile. The reference photo is deleted immediately after the ski pass expires, and all other photos are deleted no later than 30 minutes after each turnstile passage.
It is also noted that it is possible to purchase ski passes configured so that no photo is taken when passing through a turnstile; however, in such cases, random checks by the lift staff should be expected.
5. The ski pass is personal and non-transferable. A photo is required in any case for ski passes valid for 9 days or more, and for certain other entitlements. Starting from the 2-day ski pass, ski pass authorizations are issued exclusively on electronic data carriers.
For electronic data carriers (KeyCards) issued at Ski amadé ticket counters, a deposit of €3 must be paid. This deposit is fully refunded upon return of the data carrier, provided it is functional and not mechanically damaged.
6. All access authorizations are automatically checked at entry points equipped with electronic control systems, and visually inspected at entry points without such systems.
7. Tickets, whether in the form of barcodes or electronic passes (KeyCards), must be presented for visual inspection during random checks in the control zones of the facilities, as well as in the areas of the valley stations, ticket counters, and parking lots. Upon request, tickets must also be shown to designated mobile inspectors within the ski areas. The inspection personnel are authorized to confiscate ski pass authorizations that are being misused.
8. Anyone who uses cable car or lift services without a valid ticket is committing a criminal offense under Austrian law. Violations will be reported to the authorities. The assertion of any claims for damages by Ski amadé or its member companies remains unaffected.
9. Misuse of ski passes and entitlement authorizations—such as unauthorized transfer—will result in the immediate and non-refundable revocation of the authorization and exclusion from transport. Misuse will be reported to the authorities. Attempting to transfer a ski pass to another guest without authorization is already considered misuse. Every ticket holder is responsible for storing their ski pass in a way that prevents access by third parties. The assertion of any claims for damages by Ski amadé or its member companies remains unaffected.
10. The behavior rules of the International Ski Federation (FIS) apply without restriction. Reckless behavior or other serious violations of these rules or the general fare regulations and conditions of carriage will result in the immediate and non-refundable revocation of authorization and exclusion from transport, and may be reported to the authorities. The assertion of any claims for damages by Ski amadé or its member companies remains unaffected.
11. Compliance with the COVID-19 measures or other protective measures mandated by authorities to contain a pandemic is the sole responsibility of the customer. If the customer is unable or unwilling to comply with these official measures, transportation is not permitted (information available at www.skiamade.com/corona
12. Subsequent exchange or modification of the validity period of a ski pass authorization is not possible. There is no replacement in the event of loss, theft, or forgotten tickets (data carriers).
13. Children up to a height of 125 cm may only use cable cars and lift facilities when accompanied by a supervising person, unless the specific transport conditions of the facility provide otherwise. Persons aged 15 and over who have sufficient experience using drag lifts are permitted to accompany children—regardless of the child's height. Carrying infants on drag lifts is prohibited. In all other respects, the transport conditions of the respective facility apply.
14. A rescue cost contribution must be paid for recovery and transport following slope accidents. In the event of an accident, the slope and rescue team determines the necessary rescue measures. The amount of the rescue costs is set by the respective member company and must be borne by the injured party.
15. Separate tickets for pedestrians are only valid for transport without winter sports equipment. Pedestrians are not allowed to enter ski slopes. Tobogganing is not permitted on ski slopes. Ski passes do not entitle the holder to use lifts during evening toboggan operations, night skiing, or special event rides. Ski tourers (with winter sports equipment) are subject to separate fare and transport conditions depending on the specific regional and ski area regulations.
16. Fare discounts are available for youths born in 2007, 2008, and 2009, and for children born in 2010 or later, as well as for individuals with a documented disability of 70% or more (excluding ALL-IN Cards and already discounted rates). Otherwise, the published ski pass prices apply. Toddlers (born in 2020 or later) are subject to separate fare and transport conditions depending on the specific region and ski area.
17. The ski slopes are closed daily from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., except those open for public night skiing, and may not be entered or used during this time. No safety measures are in place during the closure period. There is a risk of injury due to slope grooming, winch cables, snowmaking, and exposed cables and hoses.
18. Slope closure for ski tourers: Our ski slopes are closed to ski tourers both during the day and at night, except on designated ski touring routes.
19. The unrestricted accessibility of the forest requires a special sense of responsibility and obliges individuals to protect it. According to the Forestry Act, descending with winter sports equipment in the forest and in areas near lift facilities is only permitted on marked slopes or ski routes. It is prohibited to enter reforestation areas with trees under 3 meters in height, as well as to discard litter or cigarettes. Non-compliance will result in reports being filed under the Forestry Act, immediate and non-refundable revocation of the authorization, and exclusion from transport.
20. The operation of drones or other flying objects is prohibited throughout the entire ski area.
21. Errors and misprints excepted! All information is provided to the best of our knowledge, but without guarantee of completeness or accuracy.
22. The contractual relationship between the purchaser of a ski pass and Ski amadé GmbH and its member companies is governed exclusively by Austrian law, excluding its conflict of law rules and the UN Sales Convention.
